Location - at the southeast corner of Hwy 42 and Cleveland School Rd. (SR-1010).
Coordinates: 35d 36m 08.7s N; 78d 34m 13.5s W Click here for Google maps
Directions: From the intersection of Hwy. 70 and Hwy. 50 in Garner, take Hwy. 50 south 6 miles to Cleveland School Rd. (SR 1010). Angle SE onto Cleveland School Rd. and go 2 miles until you reach the intersection of Cleveland School Rd.(SR 1010) and Hwy. 42. Continue through the intersection on 1010 and immediately park in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot on your left. Gower Cemetery is directly across 1010, right next to a used car lot and very thickly overgrown.
It is an abandoned cemetery on a potentially commercial corner.Thanks to Gayle Franks for locating this hidden cemetery.

There is a footstone "CWW" and at least 8 (or more) funeral home markers that are not readable
 Gower, Evely (b. - d. 24 Aug 1888) - Gower, Ophelia (b. 1855 - d. 1909)
- Gower, Simeon H. (b. 18 Apr 1839 - d. 9 Jun 1915)
Pvt Co I 24 NC Inf CSA. This is obviously S.H. Gower, but there are two gravestones, with the second one at the foot of the first one and a different birth date of 1835.
- Strickland, Mary E. Smith (b. 9 Feb 1856 - d. 29 May 1887)
